DUAL LASER PROGRAM

Laser is a time-tested way to treat skin issues like pores, pigmentation, acne scars, wrinkles and loose skin, and also widely used to reduce the signs of aging. Infinity Aesthetics Clinic employs various laser modalities to achieve desired outcomes in our patients. We combine two different lasers to target varying skin depth, as skin issues often have their root at different layers. Lasers are time efficient, and treatments are done within minutes.

Laser skin rejuvenation treatment is a quick and effective way to rejuvenate facial skin. It targets specific skin tissues without harming surrounding tissues. It is one of the most common aesthetic treatments performed to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes, and pigmentation through short pulsating beams of light. Regular sessions can help to stimulate new collagen growth beneath your skin to achieve a clear, glowing, youthful look with minimal downtime.

How Lasers Benefit the Skin

Lasers work by inducing the natural healing response in the skin. Lasers either make micro-wounds on the surface of the skin, or gently heat the the deeper layers of the skin, both would jumpstart the natural healing process called neocollagenesis. During neocollagenesis, the body produces more collagen which is the building block of skin, providing the underlying structure for skin. When there is more collagen in the skin, it starts to look more youthful with improved tone, and over time symptoms like wrinkles, pigmentation, scarring or enlarged pores are reduced. Combined with good skincare regime, you can achieve the healthy glowing skin that appears poreless.

Why We Use Two Different Lasers

Lasers of different wavelengths treat different skin issues. This is why we employ two lasers to optimise results for you. Our doctors will do a detailed assessment of your skin and tailor the lasers accordingly.

Infinity Aesthetics Clinic uses the Q-switch Laser and the Fractional Erbium Laser. Q-switch lasers are commonly used for Laser Toning or Laser Facials. Q-switched lasers create short nanosecond laser pulses thus restricting the laser energy to small structures such as melanin-containing cells (melanosomes), allowing gradual reduction in pigmentation and eventual skin brightening. In other words, Q-switch lasers are absorbed more by blood or melanin, thus making it a more effective laser for handling pigmentation. Fractional lasers have longer pulse durations and wavelengths that are absorbed mainly by water (our skin is made up of about 80% water). This heats up the skin internally to stimulate scar remodeling, thus making it a better laser for scars. As each laser has their respective benefits, we deploy both for our clients to tackle their skin issues.

Q-Switch + Fractional Erbium Laser Combination

Q-Switch Laser

(532 nm | 1064 nm)

The Q-switch laser is best known for all round skin rejuvenation for brighter, radiant skin.

This laser is widely used for:

  • Pigmentation (sun spots, age spots, freckles, melasa)
  • Pimples or acne marks
  • Reduce excess oiliness
  • Brighten skin
  • Improve collagen production
  • Skin rejuvenation

Fractional Erbium Laser

(2940 nm)

Don’t let the long name confuse you! This laser causes skin tissues to coagulate (in other words tighten) and stimulate new collagen to reduce the depth of scars, causing them to be less noticeable.

  • Acne scars
  • Stretch marks,
  • Pores
  • Wrinkles
  • Depressed scars
  • Removal of moles, warts or millia

FAQs

Most patients treated experience visibly smoother, firmer and more supple facial skin texture. Scars appear less visible and pores look more refined. Facial pigmentation such as freckles and sun spots can also lighten over time. The end result is brighter and more radiant facial skin.

Depending on the extent of your concerns, we would recommend 4 to 8 sessions to see sustainable results. Our doctor will employ various laser modalities to achieve outcomes, and the number of sessions required will depend on the type, extent, and severity of your concerns. It is always best to seek doctor’s consultation as every case is unique.

You can do laser facials every 2 to 4 weekly. However, it is important to consult the doctor for a laser program suitable for your unique skin type.

Treatment time is 15-30 mins. If necessary, numbing cream is applied prior to your laser treatment.

Thereafter you can return to your daily activities. Please remember to use sunblock and hydrating skincare.

Slight improvements are visible after the first session. Improvements will be more noticeable over the next few weeks, as new collagen is regenerated within skin and pigments (chromophore) will be dispersed out from the skin’s immune system naturally.
Please remember to use sunblock and hydrating skincare.

No lasers do not cause your skin to thin. Some lasers encourage collagen growth, which helps strengthen skin over time. While you may experience redness, tightness and some peeling in some cases, over time, with the proper laser treatments, skin can become thicker and healthier.

There is minimal to no downtime for laser treatments. However, there can be some redness observed for 1 to 3 days after the session for some individuals.

Do remember to use sunblock and hydrating skincare after your treatment. Aftercare is important for optimal healing.
